This course "is structured to allow participants to interactively analyze and compare the historical development of human rights and refugee law and policy in its origin, historical development and theory and its current practice in the United States, Italy and the European Union by examining leading texts, current legislation, policy and case law from each jurisdiction. The course aims to evaluate and discuss legal and social mechanisms that could improve respect for human rights and the treatment of immigrants, which can then be promulgated and implemented in practical work forums";
